Stages of the Grant Cycle

2 - Create an Account
The entire application process is online. Click here to login or create a new account.
3 - Letter of Intent (LOI) Phase
The LOI is Cullen Foundation’s introduction to the organization’s project and determines eligibility. Key details include need, grant purpose, evidence-based (education applicants only) and reviewed/audited financials. Once an LOI is approved, the applicant may proceed to the application phase.
4 - Application Phase
The application seeks finer details of the organization’s project to understand who is being served, program logistics, organizational strength, project outcomes and fiscal health. Once an application has been completed, a site visit will be scheduled.
5 - Site Visit
The site visit is Cullen’s opportunity to ask specific questions related to the organization and its project. The organization will be able to demonstrate the strengths and need for the project through this discussion. Cullen’s questions will occupy the duration of the site visit, relieving the organization from planning a site visit agenda.
